Visa Inc. (NYSE: V) announced today in Canada that Country Style will accept Visa payWave™ contactless payments, which will help move coffee-craved customers move through check-out more quickly.

Country Style is the latest in a growing roster of Visa payWave contactless payment enabled merchants. Visa payWave allows consumers to simply “wave and go” when making every day purchases like specialty beverages or food-to-go at Country Style.

“Country Style is one of Ontario’s largest coffee and baked goods chains and Visa cardholders can now enjoy faster and more convenient transactions along with their daily coffee,” said Mike Bradley, Head of Products, Visa Canada.

Visa payWave delivers speed and convenience to participating merchants and Visa^® cardholders while offering the security benefits of chip technology. More than 100 participating Country Style locations across Ontario will be equipped with Visa payWave enabled terminals by August 31, 2009.

With Visa payWave cards, consumers can buy their Country Style coffee, baked goods and specialty beverages with a simple wave of the card at a Visa payWave terminal.
