What to do if your card is lost or stolen...

In Canada:
Immediately contact the financial institution that issued your card to report the loss or theft and arrange for a replacement card to be mailed to you.

While traveling abroad:
Immediately contact Visa Customer Care Services using our worldwide network of toll-free telephone numbers below.

Emergency Assistance for Travellers

No matter where you travel in the world, you can call our Global Customer Assistance Service numbers above, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and a customer service representative will be on hand to help you. They'll take your lost or stolen card report, arrange for a replacement card or emergency cash delivery with your financial institution's approval, and answer any other Visa card or travel-related inquiries.

To best assist the customer service representative, please have this information on hand:

• Name of the financial institution that issued your card
• Card type (e.g. Visa Classic, Visa Gold, Visa Platinum)
• Country where the card was issued

If you know your full sixteen (16)-digit credit card number, this information will help cut the time it takes to cancel your lost or stolen credit card.

• Exact cardholders name printed on the card
• Billing Address—where your credit card statement is sent each month
• Home phone number
• Circumstances of the loss or theft
• Your identification verification information, as provided when you applied for your card (e.g. date of birth, mother's maiden name or similar.)

Please note: If you are the secondary cardholder for this card, you will also be asked to provide the primary cardholder's identification verification details.
