Personal Effects.

Coverage for the loss of personal effects is NOT provided by Visa when you rent a car and pay for it using an Eligible Visa card. This coverage is, in most cases, provided by homeowner or tenant insurance.

A homeowner or tenant insurance policy may protect you against loss or theft of personal belongings from your hotel or where you are staying while you are travelling. Before you leave on a trip, especially if you are travelling outside of Canada, it is wise to review this with your insurance agent or broker.
